Yup,it was great to see that first thing in the morning before work.I pulled away the leaves and there they were. These were vigorous cuttings. They grew to five feet last year in a matter of months and then over wintered in the grow bed.Absolutely amazing it was that fast!
Those are some nice roots!15 days!!!??? WHAT!!!
if that isn't the perfect radial roots, what is?
I cannot find the little white ones any more, but these 8 inchers are actually pretty smal when you see them up close.http://www.foodservicewarehouse.com/thunder-group/plwb005/p361891.aspxLove those little collanders. Where did you find them?
Thanks Barrosinc.I am reall happy with them.My first time ever making these little trees this way.I wonder if the stub I left in the ground will re-sprout.More stock!15 days!!!??? WHAT!!!

Hey,I'll take it.Beats no air layers at all.I believe since these were young trees and it was hot and I did the layer at the base of the tree was why the roots pushed so fast. Not to mention the akadama and the great aeration.I put rooting gel on the cut also and scraped the sapwood to a pith with a razor to remove any residual cambium.air layer king?
