Masterpiece
i went to a nice nursery over the weekend and saw this adenium disregarded and tagless, and they let me buy it for $10.
id been wanting a desert rose for awhile and was fairly certain when i saw it, and with the new growth at this time of year
i scooped it up. it was in four or five inch terracotta along with a gollum jade, dry as heck and not looking good at all.
instead of separating the jade i left it in there, as i didnt want to disrupt the dry roots. up potted it with some good sandy soil/compost.
will get it into sun asap but with a few cloudy/rainy days forecast i have it in my south window
my plant is not soft except for one spot - you can tell where in the pic but even all of that area that looks soft just has a dime size section that actually is.
relatively firm overall which i saw as a positive, and theres lots of green on the stems and whatnot, those two nubs, etc.

heres the badass nursery btw, they have a fig 15' high growing over a doorway and into top of greenhouse
and some massive begonia and bougainvillea for their propagating
