Another Boxwood I am working on

So I shall make twisting motion...will it not be too hard? Same like the letter F bender?

Yes, same as the F bender (but much smaller capacity)...use as a lever with the C part as the fulcrum. Definitely no twisting motion though.

Hardness depends on the size of the branch you are bending.

Thanks. Love the pot too...much more if it is not cracked. It is a commissioned piece that cracked on the 3rd firing. I decided to buy it still (very cheaply). Hope it lasts.

Nice Dario.

I got to find some nice big boxwood somewhere...

Never see them on Craigslist.

Thanks. You will eventually find one...patience. Maybe I can help? ;)

I just dont think boxwood are very popular around here. Now I think about it, I dont think I see many around even though they seem to do fine so far. *shrug* Might be that they need a bit of extra care for our winter.

Very possible. :)

No wonder you cannot find one in Craigslist! LOL :p

Tree is looking good. Very nice pot also, cool glaze.

The only boxwood you see around here is very old English Boxwood on rather old lots and people seem to prefer you do not even look at it  The only other places are in the strip malls and it is of low quality bulk nursery stuff. The only extra care the English variety needs is to knock the snow build up off it in winter as the weight beaks them pretty quickly. The nurseries never have fat stock at least any I have gone to. I am "guessing" they must order a lot of them and they are to expensive to risk not selling.

What is next.

I will let the roots get established a bit and by end of summer/fall I plan on carving some of the chop areas and dress them a bit. Around same time, thin the foliage and wire some of the smaller branches.

Hopefully expose the main branch structure (the "tree") at that time (or not). :p My goal is to show the tree close to the 4th pic of the OP...only w/ more foliage.

Future re-pot will also require tilting the tree more forward. I already did as much as I can on this re-pot w/o sacrificing the root system too much (I compromised) and the tree is still leaning backwards (though not obvious in the photo). :D
