Lately I have wanted to make one of these events, mainly after seeing the trees and hearing the tales related by those here at B-nut that have went and looked or shown trees in these venues. I had planned to make one here, about 75 miles from me actually, in Newark Ohio at Dawes Arboretum, as usual something else came up, or should I say swelled up, as my tooth has went into the stage where I now have to go to a dentist monday as I am in pain. I figure the $40-$60 bucks in gas I would have to spend just to get there would go towards the office visit.
Oregon, aren't there things like savage injuns and wild animals out there in the untamed west that may scalp or eat the civilized practitioners of Bonsai?
