Chinese cypress

I'm starting my first bonsai. I have a Chinese Cypress triple-trunker and I want to know if I can braid them together? I know, cart before the horse, but my treelet is here now, not when I get experienced. Any recommendations/ suggestions?

Generally speaking, you don't want to braid trunks together... at least not for bonsai. You are trying to replicate what an old tree in nature looks like. Yeah, you sometimes see bamboo or ficus braided together at Home Depot, but that isn't really bonsai - just something fun to do with your plants.

I don't reckon Cypress is fast growing/easily fuseable enough to work....

But other things may.

For me, it has been a careful excersize of pruning to thicken correct parts, keep things from dying, and figuring out how the end ends up at 1 branch without having wierd dieback.

This one has been seen here b4! Big changes this year so it gets a thread! A little trimming 2 Days ago. Likely chops. And check out my new leader tied up. Wire? No! That lead to this. .... For the hell of it! The "front". Pretrim. I'll probably make those cuts at repot! Till then...
