Does anyone prefer wooden boxes over ceramic/cement pots?

I used styrofoam pots before. Good and light. They did break sometimes and roots grow through the boxes. Single use here.

A big trident maple has been growing in one for 15 years. No roots growing through it. It's a thick box not a pot.

Wonder if winter harms them ?

I would never do that.

Was something like this. 50*28 cm. These are not thick bulletproof boxes for sure. I must tame my trees a bit more...
