Pulled these two out of a garden which i work in (as if I don't already have enough seedlings.)

Decided to use these as my first experiment with neagari, keep them small and not bother so much about fattening trunks but to create interesting movement.

Both had minimal root damage, but we are going through a heatwave currently. I've also ran out of good substrate. so who knows

Come spring, I have hundreds of P. sylvestris seedlings I need to repot. With plans on creating many more exposed root trees.

Great to see others trying new and different approaches to developing bonsai.
Small seedlings generally don't have any problem being transplanted out of season so I'd expect these to keep growing, especially as you've likely done very little root reduction.
