This tree is imported from Japan to Europe in 2020

I liked this tree from the veryfirst moment because it’s so different than the usual Japanese style.
Still a very long way to go...

Oh yeah!!! Spectacular Tom! What are you thinking in terms of canopy size? Ultimately I would make it twice as big as it is now.
Like you already said Sergio, twice as big for sure, the fun part with this size is that we can get a lot of detailing in the tree....

Unreal. I am most amazed this doesn't appear to have some massive wound. Normally a given on a tree that size.

Yes, that’s remarkable one this tree, now big wounds, one massive complete tree.
They did a fantastic job in Japan...
Let’s building some branching 😎

First summer 2020, the tree is doing what we hoped, growing very well.

After pruning and wiring the tree completely with my teacher we also talked about how we see the future of the tree ...

We decided to make a new top, in the original design, you can see the tree is angling to the right, we decided to make the top more in the middle of the tree so there will be more balance if the crown has his full size.
The original top will stay and will be a branch in the tree, that’s why we wired that branch growing more to the right, prepared for the future.
If you look closely you will see that we left 2 branches in the top that will growing freely this year, that’s the place we will make the new top.
A lower branch can grow also free this year, to bring extra character in it.
The picture is not perfect because I didn’t take any photos that moment I have to take a print screen from a video...
So the wiring is not the end result, only to get that little movement in the branches that give the tree already a more natural feeling.
