I have a 12 year old fiend grown Japanese larch in a training pot. It’s been in the pot since last spring. This winter I styled and wired it, but no rootwork or repotting. It’s in a fast draining mix, but does hold water relatively well, and there’s been a good amount of rain in the last few days. Where it sits I get direct sun from sunrise until around 5-6 pm, after that it’s shaded. Over the last week I’ve started to notice browning and yellowing tips on some of the needles. Does this look like a fungus and should I treat as such? I haven’t seen any sign of insects. Thanks in advanced for any info, advice or witty sarcasm.
