Got two new trees now it time to style them

I got two large shimpaku juniper pre bonsai for christmas. Gotta love new stuff for christmas. I traced main trunk line with red to show movement.

Wee tree farm even bad material makes great gift but these are an awesome gift.

Just finished first styling of new tree

I styled the twin trunk tree today to get him started in bonsai life. It's got a long way to go and couldn't shorten everything that I wanted but with back budding should have plenty of options. I'm also waiting until spring to start jins and Shari.

If there is someone in your life that is savvy enough to pick out good trees but selfless enough not to keep them, then you are blessed indeed.

Honestly, I don't appreciate it when my wife tries to buy me trees. The few that she has gotten would not be ones that I would have chosen. Of course its the thought that counts, but we should probably agree that she should not buy me trees and and should not buy her nighties and we'd both be happier.
