Help with quince request

I have an issue with a quince. Believe it to be a fungus. Anyone have a suggestion.

I think it looks like sooty mold. A result from honeydew, which is a result from aphids. Can you check the surroundings for aphids? Maybe a big tree nearby, or the plant itself.
