I agree. Maybe there are Imperial Bonsai and then there is imperial bonsai. I mean there is Queen Elizabeth but I sleep on a queen sized bed.Not so sure that is true but misunderstanding. The place selling these is called "Imperial" as in Imperial Garden.

Here is a picture I took a couple of years ago at the Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection. The wall behind the tree is about 6 feet tall.
If someone knows the story behind this tree please post it. I can't quite remember the details but I believe this was a gift from Japan for the world's fair of 1890 something.
