My vote is to leave it. Or if you HAD to get rid of it I would vote for getting rid of something on the left side to. One thing that bothers me in bonsai is when the foliage comes down evenly like in the picture without it. I drew a red line to show what I mean. To me this is too uniform, too tidy and ugly!

Leave it and make it thicker and give it more volume. i mean the lower branch to the right.

If that right branch is gone the whole tree looks unstable and off balance to the left.

Me too, this was just an exercise in opinions to see if anyone would like it better with or without. Beats the hell out of name calling, it's a lot more fun and it gives people who normally wouldn't post a chance to voice their opinion.

I think that if you leave it and pull it forward just a bit it could make a difference. That is what I would do if it were mine. That branch adds balance for sure. Guys, I am knew to forums if I do something wrong pleaselet me know. I am just as in love with Bonai as you all.
