I have read alot of the posts on lighting here, and lot of them seem to quite a few years old. Grow lights are changing everyday it seems as the LEDs take over the market. One can spend a lot of time trying to get up to speed for being able to make a buying decision based on what you are growing and the growth you trying to support.
I am looking for suggestions on T5 bulbs to put in a florescent 2 bulb, four foot shop light fixture to keep a small number of small tropicals alive in a workshop area over the winter. Also germinating a few seeds. The shop area is kept warmer in the winter (50F) but the shelf will be enclosed (plastic) to allow for a higher humidity and a warmer temp if needed. I am not trying to create strong growth but keeping the plants healthy till spring. Is this possible, I am hoping to find out.
Any of you that may have purchased these types of bulbs recently, got a recommendation for me?
Thanks for the help

I've found LED tubes that fit into my 4 foot fixtures and are compatible with T5 at Lowes and Home Depot

There's not too many LEDs that fit into T5 fixtures. So it won't be too much of a hard decision. Just buy one of the few that physically match your requirements.

After this comment I went back and checked the bulbs in the fixture, they are T8 not T5.
No Hydro stores within 3 hours for me.
So, any recommendations for good T8 bulbs?
