Manhattan Bonsai Inc...

"I never bought pottery from across the atlantic, but it is found that US vendors ship their rejects to Europe.
Never had a broken pot but several have arrived as some other design!
I spend weeks pondering and finally buy something that will sort of do only to find my anticipation dashed by some impostor crockery.
I'm guessing the only ones that would arrive broken are those i was truly excited about and were in fact despatched as ordered."

It's unclear if you have ever bought anything from a US bonsai pot vendor, but it is clear you have absolutely no idea of what you're talking about. I once worked for a British company. My manager was a complete twit. Does that mean all Brits are twits...? Hardly, but there are exceptions.

Update

Well low and behold, although the company has not come good for anything the matter has been resolved with somewhat satisfactory results. The CC cie has reimbursed my charges and UPS has also reimbursed me for the shipping.

I say satisfactory results because I am no longer out of pocket but, the BS I had to go through was not worth it. I have been totally reimbursed and I still have one of unbroken pots from the original delivery, a consolation prize I guess.

Although this episode has come to a successful conclusion, I further stand by my original statement that Manhattan Bonsai will never see any business from this bloke again. Last correspondence with them was an e-mail I received on 3 Oct.

Good to hear it worked out for you at the finish Rick. It still leaves a nasty taste in all our collective mouths about this dreadful incident.

Let me add my heartiest congratulations to you both on your recent marriage.

Ash :)

Rick,

Have you tried bonsaimonk.com? I've never shipped from them, so I can't speak to that part of their service delivery. I live close enough to drive to the Monastery. The prices and selection are pretty good. I've been going there since I was old enough to drive. Father Paul would help me pick out pots for my trees and try to convince me to become a monk.:)

They are like the Hebrew National Hotdogs of bonsai..."We answer to a Higher Authority."

Hopefully their customer service would be a better experience for you.

Best,
Kirk

P.S. Sorry, I just read your earlier post. You have tried them. Glad it was a good exchange.

Kirk,

Yes I have tried them in the past and I have nothing but praise for their service. The only downside dealing with them is the steep brokerage fees associated with purchases, other than that I endorse their company.
