Did this for the contest- thought I'd make a thread to keep up with it. Hard to tell in the pics but there are several pads initiated that I'll let fill and recover over the next year

Thinking about removing the upper trunk, but it's not blocking light- and it's providing foliage support-need to wire it better though and make sure it doesn't get to strong- for now I'll keep it maybe later I'll remove it

Wire is a mess but tree looks really good for first training. Like both trunks and can always get another for whichever single trunk is preferred and have both to grace collection.

I compared a few bits of the same gauge for workability. I couldn't tell any difference. I am always really careful to handle it in a way that it doesn't work harden prior to wrapping too.
That was medium/small gauge, maybe with larger gauges I would be able to tell a difference.
