Just picked up this Inaba Toen on Craigslist of all places.

Anybody know anything about this potter or kiln? Ryan Bell shows several chops but no other info.

It's about 18.5"(47cm) x 14.25"(36cm) x 5.75"(14.5cm) has a fair amount of patina but doesn't seem old.

Asked the seller what tree he had in it, said he knew nothing about bonsai, I asked how he knew what to put in the ad and he said he sent a picture of the stamp
to a friend living in Japan and a week or 2 later they told him what it was.

Dewire tree, 38" tall never shown because the reverse taper is so annoying had a piece of bark wedged at the base but never looked right
It's in a 22" mica pot, don't think the Inaba Toen is quite big enough, what say you Pine Master?

Telperion one is difficult to photo, in a giant box and still has 2 6 foot sacrifices attached the lump of wood at the top trying to get an approach graft to take on the outside curve on the left
looks like it may have finally taken after 2+ years.
It's about 10" at ground level and 5" above the swell.

Nice trees, thanks for posting them.

Corkers do well in deeper pots, so the KY would likely do fine in your new pot. I’m down to just my ‘Taihei’ from Dave DeWire, lost my KY.

It’s a shame Telperion burned, because they had a really special thing going. Yours has a killer trunk started. Mine is just starting to shine.

Thanks Brian, I value your input.

Telperion was an awesome place, luckily I'm only 1-1/2hrs away unfortunately I only visited 3 times including
after the fire when they allowed BSOP members a last chance at $350 per stump! Most of the "good stuff" that survived was snapped up
by the local professionals previously which is as it should be.
