Here are 3 junipers that I collected off the side of the road, leterally! They were destine for the dump! I knew they were not there the day before so they couldn't of been out of the ground for long? So I had to stop and pick them up before the trash man did. I pruned everything off and only kept what I thought I could use(mainly everything but one branch) . It was late fall so maybe just maybe they will make it. I proceeded to cut and load. This is my first attemp at posting pics so bear with me ;-)
What was so nice about these junipers is that I didn't even break a sweat collecting them ;-) They must be at least 25- 30 years old.
It was Nov 3 here in zone 6 when I potted them up. They spent 2 days in my garage before then. The temps were supposed to dip into the upper 20s low 30s so I placed them in the garage until the temps rebounded in a couple days. Crazy weather!! I potted them in all lava rock and spagnum moss. As of today they are nice and green and looks like they will make it,, all three of them. I hope anyway. I can't wait to get they grinder out;-)
