For me, it's a toss up between the first and second pots...the second seems a better size, but I prefer the color of the first. By the way, it'll look GOOD in any of them.

I agree completely with Dav4. To me the first one the color of the pot complements the bark well but the second is smaller and still looks nice with the tree.

To my eye no.3 is the one. It suits the softer lines of the tree. Having said that, I have a lot to learn about pots.

I suppose maybe I should give my reason for no. 1. I feel that pot best grounds the tree. That canopy is pretty large for the trunk and the height, and no. one just seems to carry the crown as a counterbalance.

If I may ask whats the white glue for, that does not look like traditional Japanese accoutrement.

Scott, is that your tool? Or Boon's? I can't seem to find one anywhere. I bought a similiar tool from Boon, but it's not as flat and doesn't have the wood handle.

1 and 2 look a lot alike to me in style but the colors are different... one of those is probably your best. Not a fan of #4, and the 3rd one just looks like a clean version of the one it was in originally that broke during shipping... deff 1 or 2 IMO
