Random Of Doom!

On a lighter, “Oh my god! Look
at that guy! He’s SOOO poor.”-note.. I’ve started building a VERY ghetto, TEMPORARY elevated cold frame using HORRIBLE repurposed wood from random sources and filling the “walls” with dirt and roofing materials. Just to kind of “see what’s possible”... I have an INDOOR “cold-space” option too... I just wanted to see if this could be done.

Using a SW 3 story building corner as THE INSIDE “corner” and my kiln as the OUTER “corner”

My family bought ONLY VW vehicles for a good chunk of my life.

I learned how to drive in an ‘88 Cabriolet, MY first car was an ‘86 diesel Jetta, and I drove around and basically LIVED in an ‘83 Diesel Vanagon my Senior year of high school...

I would’ve stole the first picture! (If i was a thief... just a character flaw i DON’T possess)

Alright.. this question is for my English friends..

I was recently watching parade formation videos.. mostly USMC And the Royal Gaurd. (THAT also led to videos of ignorant individuals trying to “mess” with the beefeaters.. which was pretty hilarious)

But my question lies in the “stomp” aspect of the Queen’s Guards cadence... those are some AGGRESSIVE stomps.. I like them.. I was just curious if THOSE particular members of the military wore specific footwear to accommodate those patterns?

Seems like ONE sole would succumb to “wear” more rapidly.

Please don't take offense as I am in no way trying to be confrontational, but only one of you last ten posts was about bonsai. A lot of people here, self included, will deviate from bonsai related posts from time to time, but it seems like you are trying to set a record. I enjoy your presence here, but I would enjoy it more if you would make some attempt to stay on track at least half the time. I am much less inclined to visit your posts than I used to be. I think it is good to interject a bit of brevity now and again, moderation is appropriate. Please accept this with grace as it was intended my friend. :) :) :)
 
Wow.. I did NOT expect that to hurt my feelings. But it did. ....probably because of how highly I think of you.

I apologize... it is difficult for me because, given that I use NO other social media, have crawled out of a deep, decade-long hole..so acquaintances made on the way down are LONG gone, and i am under quarantine orders because of damage done to my organs DURING my “stay” in that hole. With the majority of my “social interaction” being with my children, when I see a thread that’s ALREADY “rollling” about a NON-bonsai topic (much like THIS one, entitled; Random of doom... ((in which I just posted pictures of myself building a crappy elevated ”coldframe”... for plants...yesterday))) I use the opportunity to have a “dollop” of social interaction with adults.

My apologies, again. I did not realize I was coming off obnoxious and abrasive.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Nah, you're not. I mean, not more than normally ;)

I think this links in with the wish of some to have the option ignore certain threads, and focus on others. Some people come for the community. Others for the trees. Mixing them might be a bit much. (The post also made me stop for a second to think.. Hm, I do the same!)

You are being too hard on yourself. This is certainly not the way I would describe your presence here. I have a flaw in that I tend to say whats on my mind and most people I know think I can be abrupt. Still, I certainly did not mean to hurt feelings our ruffle feathers. I am glad you are here.
Please re-read my response, word by word. I will say no more on the subject because this is a bonsai forum. Feel free to send me a PM anytime my friend.

I do, feel the need to again point out that this thread’s intent is stated on the first page. So CLICKING /COMING here at all... one should probably expect a multitude of random topics.
