Styled this juniper few months back and most of it died except for this branch which is growing fast now.
Can u advise if I can restyle to make use of this tree still? Would rather reshape this branch before it bites into wire yet afraid that another reshaping might kill this branch, also not sure how to build a tree out of this one living branch alone. Thanks for any suggestionsScreenshot_20210717-082626_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20210717-082639_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20210717-082655_Gallery.jpg

Looks like it would make a natural cascade or semi cascade, with the deadwood being a nice contrast. I’d let it be for a while and just grow wild until it throws off real long runners. I wouldn’t worry about wire scars on a juniper

You have a nice piece of future deadwood there. I agree with the people above to just let it grow for now.
Needle foliage = stressed juniper.
So before doing anything else, I think you could better wait for the foliage to calm down and recover. From my own experience, this takes a year and a half.

Juniper wood stays flexible for a long time. You can still bend branches that are as thick as a pinky finger. No reason to hurry ;-)

Now is a bad time to wire juniper.
If you do it, you risk killing that branch.

As others said above, leave it alone now.
I'd wait at least until fall 2022 to do more work on this tree. It will still be bendable with wire and fall is the better time to wire juniper

Thanks for all the input. I'll just fertilize and take good care of it till next year then.
One last question, can u have a cascade/semi cascade with only dead wood on top or still need to grow a live branch to the top ?
