so i purchased this young juniper last week and decided to repot it in a larger 1 gallon pot so the roots can have more room space to grow without restriction. while doing this i scraped some healthy reused soil from the ground( 2-3 cm deep) and it had small feeder roots in it from hydrangea plants( i think) in them to help build the tree to the top. will the root in the soil affect the soil mixture in any way? and especially at this time of the year also i live in massachusetts

and if it will affect the tree could i repot again usin the correct sphagnum peat moss soil with orchid bark right away without stressing the tree?

will the root in the soil affect the soil mixture in any way

What's the rest of the soil composed of?

Welcome to Crazy!

If it's straight earth it's probably helpful, but you'll have other problems.

normal peat soil with some type of bark and perlite i think? hopefully this picture helps.
i still need to add more could i still take the tree out and add more soil mix?

take the tree out

I wouldn't fuss with it too much farther, now isn't the best time for this work.

Ought throw that Mass in your Bio.

Lol...then throw that mass of bio in the pot!
