So you want to be a Professional?

I'm not doing the complaining...you are the one who is always complaining about attack the subject not the artist. I am merely pointing out that by attacking the art you also attack the artist. The two are imseperable.

I remember when I gave on the spot reviews of a windswept tree at knob someone there not being able to take some criticism took down the entire thread. As I remember it it was not only me who criticised. It was also not me who made it personal. I remember it was actually some of those guys you constantly hype that asked if this was actually serious.

but....I see that keeping it about the tree is still hurtful..right? Otherwise there was no need to take it down.

Let's keep this real, Al.

1. You are complaining, no one else is complaining about this subject, even Mike, the "victim" you are focused on.

2. No one attacked the artist, the tree was critiqued, not the artist. We already covered this.

3. No one critiqued an artist, just the work of the artist. We already covered this as well.

Could you keep on the subject, I mean I know you're trying very hard to have a flame war here, but at least keep it on the subject.

I suggest if you have a problem with the words used by Michael Persiano when he scored Mike's tree here that you take it up with him, instead of lamenting over them here. I'm sure he'll take your words at their full worth....

While you're at it, you might as well write Nick Lenz and complain about his words on Mike's tree, "...reminds me of an obese space alien from a FAR SIDE album."

Give it up Al, be a professional.

I thought that was FUNNY! Gave me a good laugh! Nick being a man who can appreciate whimsy surely would appreciate the whimsicality of the Silverberry.

Nick always makes me laugh, I about blew coffee out of my nose on that one. I'm glad you have a sense of humor Mike!

You are right Will, in the spirit of Independence Day I will cease to continue this argument. You are correct it is about the trees, and the trees alone. I will let my works speak for me as well as your works speak for you.

Mike,

It'll be interesting to see the comments from three different professionals on the KoB side of the WBC contest. TWo judges have submitting their scores and comments, waiting on the third......

Any bets on the winner of the open challenge?

Ah, and this is the biggest "problem with bonsai forums" isn't it? When one person is the entire "editorial board" and the people he is sucking up to is asking him if he's really serious posting this twig with one branch, then he tries to edit and gets tripped up, then deletes the entire thread, doesn't that just turn off anyone who read that thread? It certainly does. I was there. The reviews were fair and not hurtful. And yet the "artist" got his feelings hurt and made it personal and threw his weight around. Those forums will die with oversight like that. And anyone still hanging on there with that guy should jump ship and find a better place for solid content.

That bria (wth is that?) is so surreal and inviting. I can't stop looking at it.

Chris,

The above post and this recent one is showing your typical pattern of following me around and trying to incite an argument.

Let me set you straight on a few things:

1. I am not the "entire editorial board" on neither AoB or KoB. You can see a list of all the editors of KoB here and some currently active editors at AoB are Candy J. Shirey, Walter, Paul Stokes, Heather Hartman, Dorothy Schmitz, Enrique Castano, Michelle Dougherty, and Vance Wood, to name a few.

2. The thread you are referring to was deleted because of personal remarks. Period. You yourself have razed me plenty of times about my trees and the threads remain. See this thread where you lambasted a shohin of mine. It still remains, this shoots a huge hole in your make believe crap. Oh, and while your there, read the last post by Andy Smith where he says, "I actually like this tree, and see lots of potential...." and more importantly he says, "People on bonsai forums act like they know everything, and are always negative." You should take those words to heart Chris.

3. You have been saying AoB and KoB were going to die since they started, give it up, it ain't happening.

4. There are no better places for solid content.

Stop being so depressingly negative Chris, you never have and you never will bring me down.

Have a happy day :)

Just to set the record straight Will, if you are referring to the windswept tree thread that you started, I do not remember any personel remarks. In fact my post was helpfull and was posted with pictures of actual windswept trees which you said were twigs. In fact the trees in that picture were over 80 feet tall and had trunks over a foot across, but then you were not there like I was.

I say we post up the tree here and you caption it the way you did when you originally posted it, saying that all it needed was a small tweak and it was finished. Post it here and let the chips fall where they may. I am positive we can keep it civil and impersonal for one more critique of a tree nearly finished. No need to hide. Remember Will all we have to judge your words by is the work you produce, I feel this could be a real chance to set the record straight on just what you can do with trees. Live by the sword, fall on the sword.

What do you say?

Al

I'll say the same thing I have always said to you, stop playing forum games, the AoB Awards are starting this week, man up.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, I have nothing to prove to you.

Here is the beauty of your power over your boards. You can post any slimy post you wish, regardless of inuendo and it remains. Try to take issue and the detractor disappears. Post a stick in a pot where even your European buds say they thought you were joking, the thread disappears. Seems "Editorial Board" is your cover for not having to take the blame for throwing your weight around.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on this tree, your opinions will certainly be weighed and taken for what they are worth. Al, your virt leaves much to be desired and I wonder if you are even remotely serious.
Hard to believe that anyone might believe you meant that in a positive way. This is your style, innuendo and deny.

Here's a spot where you decide you have to try to tarnish Boon with a quote from me which is in part my words and part an utter fabrication. You refuse to put up or shut up on this one, yet your snarky and snide comments remain. There is no appeal. There is no "Editorial Board." There is only Wil. E Coyote, er, Will Heath.

Funny how the rest of that thread has disappeared, simply lopped off without note. Now it seems the last post is nine months before your interesting if concocted blame game. Once more we see the "Editorial Board" at work to try to improve Will's face.

Oh, grow up Chris.

Responding to this meaningless "Will Bash" which, as usual, consists of mostly invented and conspiracy theory drivel would take far more time than it is worth.

Here are some solutions to whatever problems you imagine....

1) Don't visit AoB or KoB

2) Ignore me

3) Have you wife change her name to "Will Heath" and then you can fight with her on-line and off.

4) All of the above.

Meanwhile, if you don't mind, some of us are actually contributing to the community instead of hunting down and attacking others.....

Love,

Will

(To all, the "missing" thread Chris mentioned can be seen at http://artofbonsai.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=163&start=75 )

Of course, Will. Great way to show yourself a "victim" and try to change the topic with more pointless insult. You have been fond of calling people cowards. Look in the mirror.
