Does anyone have a list of the Bonsai Masters that are currently planing a visit to the Mid-West this next summer, 2016? Or does anyone know of someone that could be talked into making a visit?

I would think anyone without a full schedule would come for a price.

Seems early enough to find someone.

I might just have to make that trip!

That would be excellent! You would be able to get Vance Wood quotes straight from the tap! Fun? You better believe it!
I guess I would be hauling my boat there for that too. I know where to catch giant smallmouth all over in Michigan.
Lake St. Clair!!! Take a day and go fishing. Eat you wheaties!

Chase???? I had almost forgotten about him and he is in Pennsylvania I believe.

Not sure about fall but I do know the ABS will have their meeting in Michigan next year might want to plan for that too.

That's what I get for not paying attention; I was not aware that ABS was having their meeting up here this next year. I would like details if anyone has them to share.

Our club absolutely loves Rodney. He's been here twice, but I have yet to meet him; been out of town both times, but we will have him again in March and so he put me on a travel restriction! :p

Vance,

I have no ideas of the following individuals schedule or plans for next sommer but here are a few more good instructors. I have attended their workshops and highly recommend:

Colin Lewis who lives in Maine.
Owen reich, Tennessee.

Also, I think very highly of Steve Tolley but he' in GB (but you could email him and see if he's coming to the States next summer. Google his website. I have also heard great things about Peter warren, also from UK. However, I think Peter travels here regularly for business. He also has a website.

Thank You all for the input and all.

orce, could you send me a resume of some sort? I am entertaining all options.

Very flattering. Ooo. That feels funny!

I read sorce's comment as though he may wish to attend, not instruct.

Yes.
However. I was thinking about doing a "funny" one if he couldn't get someone. I'm sure between the 3 of us, someone would die! Lol

Could you imagine. Potting a tree upside down in complete seriousness.

Blowing on wire after application to help it set.

Chewing off foilage.

Yes. A video would be in order.

And I would do it in a pink thong.
Oh the video.

Whipping and Nanaing, while wiring NaNa whips.

From the President's editorial in the 2015 #3 ABS Journal:
May 12-15, 2016 in conjunction with the Meijer Gardens and the Michigan All State Bonsai Show in Grand Rapids Michigan. Same basic format as the ABS Learning Symposium that was in Baltimore in 2015.

Rodney and I go way back! We both started doing bonsai at about the same time.

Unlike myself, Rodney has great people skills!

He's the one with the trees of tension yes?

I like him too!

You're doing OK Adair, once you open the door and let people in.
