I'm in Minnesota and its nearly November, I have several willow cuttings rooting in water, i started adding a little soul to the water after many roots grew before i was going to put them in grow boxes outdoors. Due to a major Health Crisis, they never got planted. Should i plant them now outdoors ? I am afraid the tender roots will freeze . Or leave them in their muddy stuff indoors ? I am afraid they will rot in the mud , or should i plant them in pots with drainage and keep them indoors for a month or so to get rooted better in soil and then take them out to a unheated shed ,or warmer garage, still unheated ? They are so beautiful and all have great branches and so many new shoots and leaves. Hate to loose them and considering doing all the above and see which ones make it ! Any ideas or suggestions are welcome ...this is about half of them.
