I just bought a copy of Bonsai Techniques I by John Naka for only € 7,50 (and the book looks to be in mint condition).

I bought cement for anchor points on a few rock/ slab plantings. Toughest mental battle right now is patience and preparation for the flurry that will start next week. This song has helped me when I feel the weight is on my shoulders .. maybe it will help some of you

Nursery can valley oak (Q lobata). Nice bark, pretty chunky trunk, low branching.

Biggish juniper jumped in my care during the trophy. Nothing I could do to stop it. It was just to big a beast..
Nice thing is.. Established compact chinese juniper foliage grafted on this.

Don’t worry we are not crazy. Repotted it today and it even had another move below the surface.

Just purchased should be here in a few days . From Artisan Works . In western Ontario . A reasonable new pot artist . I recommend all Canadians that have not checked out his pots. Do so . Built in small batches all unique single specimens . His work speaks for itself . Pic is from his site . Better than I will be able to do . Second pot will not load . Great Canadian internet strikes again . I’ll try tomorrow .
