My last car did 40.000 kilometers with just minor issues. It was a VW.
The two repairs I had to do did cost me a tube of caulk, a roll of duct tape and some engine part that was 11 euros.
Today I cultured some leukemia. All emotions aside considering cancer, this is one example that gave me shivers.
On the left we see a normal cell culture of these cells. On the right we see about one million bacteria surrounding these cells in every dimension, yet they still live. And they have been living for 4 days like this now.
Any other cell of human origin would have died, stopped growing or given up in some way or form. Not these.

Today I decided to upgrade my makeshift bench setup. I had some old fencing material lying around so I put it to use. I plan to add this with removable greenhouse panels to provide some additional sheltering this winter. Essentially window screen panels but splining in greenhouse film instead of screen. I’ll sink some magnets into each corner to secure. Very happy with it!
