What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

Since they said it was only going to 100F today. (Which I know is a lie..lol)
I went out early and trimmed some that got crazy while I was gone for a week. The ficus, honeysuckle, pomegranate and ebonies went crazy.

Also, did my monthly pot turn and move the trees around.
I made this PVC shade last spring. It has worked well. But I need to pull back the shade to water, and I want the trees a little further apart.
Thinking of using those outdoor umbrella stand bases.
That way I don't have to crouch down to water.

Care to save me some seeds from this?? Would like to try in my climate here in NJ.
You mean the Super Beef?
Sure. Many of them get contorted and they take a while to set fruit but once they do they perform well. Sweet and low acid, just know the top of the tomatoes have a bit of core in them but the rest the pictures speak for themselves.

Worked a little bit on a couple of junipers I'm going to put up for sale.

Is this squamata? I never considered trying them because they never seem to thicken up in the landscapes.

Awesome, Im always looking to expand my heirloom tomato seed collection. Ill message you separately.

Tax: Bought this little ginseng ficus off the clearance rack at lowes... Basically chopped it all off at the base to grow as a cutting. Its under a cloche now.

Cut back and repotted my lavender star trees. The original one and the airlayer I took off last fall. They always seem to grow well trough the winter and just now started to not drain well.
I am trying to thicken the trunks, but it seems that new growth is very coarse and overgrown the trunk with reverse taper...
Also they heal cuts funny - quickly, but warty.

It's been one month since the repot of my Schefflera banyan, and it's doing great. Most of the branch cuts I made in June worked out well, but a couple branches didn't grow in the direction I was expecting from cutting at the leaf scar.

Gave it a trim.

Nice! Reminds me of Nigel Saunders's Schefflera

Thanks. I hope mine looks as nice as Nigels one day, but my actual inspiration was the late David Fukumoto. I wish I would've saved some of his website before it went down, or acquired one of his trees. This is just one of his many trees.

Cleaned up my back porch. Severely cut back the Bougainvillea and put up a double shade cloth. The Bougainvillea cover was pretty good, but when one little ray of sunlight got through, it would fry all the leaves it touched. Much better now. Using the double layer makes it much cooler and I can remove them as needed and still have protection for the sensitive Japanese maples.

1st pic looks like you used snap tees?
Could be 1x1x.5" tees, but my bets are on 3 snap tees. Either way, what are they for?

Put an old hinoki on the burn pile.

lol! Just a little southern engineering. The PVC pipe has a water line running through it and those are just to keep the PVC from moving away from the porch. Just a simple cheap way to route the water line.

I had to dig up 3 Pinus sylvestris I planted this spring in my partners parents garden. I wanted to grow them out for a couple years but they are selling their house. So back home they come to my balcony.

These are three from a batch of 5. I'll probably make a progression thread in time.
