What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

Did a little prevention repots today. Not the best time of year for repots, but these two oaks have been in their original forest dirt since I collected them. We are getting so much rain here right now I’m worried about root rot issues with their soil. They went into bonsai mix today. One small Laurel Oak and a Northern Red Oak.

Like the tree thread, a pic required w/each post. Just for fun.
I thought it would be a fun thread for everyone to post what the did today regarding their Bonsai collection, along the lines of the tree thread where a pic is required or it didn't happen w/your post. Before and after even better but not required.
Show us what you did with your bonsai today.

I went to a bonsai show in Ann Arbor and saw some really cool trees both in the show and at the Matthieu botanical gardens. And as you already know pics don't do them justice. :)

This one is just a beast.

Got bored today with all the rain. lol! If they all take I’ll have maples running out my ears. Maples are: Acer Palmatum, Arakawa, Oto Hime, Beni Kawa, Katsura, Shin Deshojo, Red Maple, Trident Maple and one cutting off a Mulberry tree. About 50 cuttings. Also did a little wiring on the mother trees. I’m finding a mix of 50-50 perlite and vermiculite works great for me on the cuttings. Now I’ll have to buy more little pots.

Sorry bout the background. Didn't feel like changing my wifes setup around to the back of the floor piece which is charcoal looking.
Cut n plucked Austrian pine some, and initial cut back on a kishu.

Haven't got a real plan yet on the kishu so I didn't cut back any further. Been growing unchecked 4-5 yrs with me. Both are 1 gallon nursery material.

Adding some new monkey poles with recycled lumber . 2 more to go . One of my many goals this year to clean up around my yard . Make use of peoples junk .View attachment 610881View attachment 610882View attachment 610883View attachment 610884

Nice. The first picture, looks like a pine in the center of the picture. What kind of pot is that? Is that home made? Looks cool.
Looks like hollowed out piece of limestone to me. I've actually been working on something similar for my future bonsai. Stone just seems like the perfect material for tree displays or regular grow boxes. That is... if you have the tools necessary.
