What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

You know your automobiles! Yea it’s a wraith. Going in a couple of weeks for some mods since it’s disgustingly stock 😂

They’re HRE R101s. Love that blue! Rebuilding my 964 and nearly went with a similar color but decided to stay with a Porsche color.

Same black? Or a blue? Gentian Blue Metallic or Moonlight Blue Metallic are decent, also Porsche has the "Paint to Sample" so "any" color can be a Porsche color. I like Miami Blue or even Shark Blue, wife wants Miami Blue when she gets the Macan. The company she works for is having some financial issues, so that's on hold for a while.

I went with the same black. Darn purists got me lol. Shark blue is a very sharp color! Im on the fence between shark blue and arctic grey for the GT4RS build.

This thread is for what you did today, relax a little

Not that I really care, but the first post has the "rules"...

Like the tree thread, a pic required w/each post. Just for fun.
I thought it would be a fun thread for everyone to post what the did today regarding their Bonsai collection, along the lines of the tree thread where a pic is required or it didn't happen w/your post. Before and after even better but not required.
Show us what you did with your bonsai today.

Thread tax: cut back some shoots on this P.J.M. Rhododendron.

I did this Ebihara wedge cut on two big ugly roots on a trident. Will remove next year. I cut this dang tree back before I took a “before” photo. This is my curse.

I did two things, one good and one not so good. Let's start with the not so good.

I noticed that my air layer was taking way longer than expected. After digging down a bit, I found that it was completely bridged! I see evidence however that it was starting work--trunk is swollen above the cut, all that crazy growth at the top--but I must've left a ton of CAMBIUM. Decided to just give a shot to placing another one, with no plan of separating it until spring. Looking back at my old pictures, the previous wound I made was GREEN green, so I was definitely not aggresive enough carving back.

The good news is I think I've solved one of the big dilemmas with most promising tree. You can check my thread titled Phasing work on my Shimpaku Juniper about that one, but the end result was basically finding a much stronger front and angle.

Split the root ball, and slip potted two new pre-bonsai from a 3 gallon Hino Scarlet azalea. (10" pot in pic)
Accidentally cracked the trunk on one at the Y while untangling the two, but I always have my bonsai first aid kit handy :)
Pic is pre-cleanup. Thinking about a hard prune before it gets too much later, maybe wait until late spring?

Bought a Blue spruce a month or so ago. Was going to wait until winter, but got impatient. Chose my front, and opened it up so I could stare at the trunk for a few months.

Slip potted a couple of JBP and Scots Pine seedlings into 1 gallon pots for the rest of the year. They came in the mail today. Because of the varying shade in my yard they will end up in grow boxes in the spring so I can move them as needed. Hopefully I will learn how to develop pines along with them.

Today, after four day diggin this guy after work, I managed to detach and lift it!
It's the first time I do a Yamadori this big...
This is a Eugenia Involucrata, one of our native species, which I'm very proud of.
There are some challenges to overcome, but bring it on!
Don't mind the mess on the pickup, it was a busy day! hahaha.

Created some accent pieces to be used for the fall show, using plants purchased recently.

I really enjoyed this.
