Those I plan on using on different pots. Love brass buttons. And the hosta...or dwarf Lili will go into a commissioned Sonny Boggs pot with a snail on the edge. Thanks!

So talking with my nursery via email since the garden area is not open to the public currently. (Gotta love living up north.) I wanted to order plants in preferably from them, knowing that I would receive healthy plants.

The dwarf isn't to be as bad as the regular size. I've asked a few who have it as Kusamono. Another option is... To not allow it to bloom. Removing the cone tops...removes the chance of spores from spreading. Easy in a small pot.

I've had dwarf horsetail for about 4 or 5 years now and haven't seen any evidence of it spreading or coming up anywhere, for that matter (other than the pot it's in). It's a neat little plant.

Do not taste the ginger. The American ginger causes blistering of the mouth and lips.

Great plant that loves shade and moist soils.

Pollinated by beetles. That is why the flowers look like rotting flesh and stinks.

Smells like rotting flesh ? No one mentioned that. I just kept reading the leaves smell like pepper. It's a European variety...its totted for its foliage. So, maybe it's not a strong pugnant scent. Let's hope! Or...those blooms will be removed!

@CasAH just sent nursery an email...upon looking to see if the European variety smells like rotting flesh. Seen the leaf was 4" wide. Well that won't work! Sent her a message asking if so. The blooms can be removed. But to large of leaf...in a 3" pot would be a train wreck. So, thanks for the heads up. If anything..lit may have prevented a blunder order.

I ended up ordering the vomit smelling blooms. Even in the inspirational Kusamono that plant was in bloom. I read more, on leaf size and one just prunes them back in containers. I did find a cute accent plant I may possibly get. But I feel that the grass would hide it it's so small and delicate. May still get it for another planting...undecided. Found one ai really liked...but, went dormant in summer. That blew my mind.mzoned for my area...

Super stoked...my accents arrived in from our local nursery. They were then able to get the European Ginger after all. And ...the blooms do not smell like rotting flesh. So not sure what that is about. Asked my son to smell it. Neither of us smelled a putrid rotting flesh. So maybe it's only a brief time.
