Smoking Down in Michigan!

I spend more on rolling papers than on weed every year. And I think everyone should.

I like capitalism, but this plant is easier to grow than corn, yet it's worth its weight in gold. That's just wrong.
Imagine being able to buy a car with a crate of homegrown tomatoes.. That's what the world is doing with weed.

I hand out 200 seeds every year for free. And I think everyone should. I don't see people killing each other or getting arrested over corn (excluding monsanto). Let's kill the market and everything that comes with it.

This was a 2020 year for me, because of covid I couldn´t order my usual seed order because cash on delivery was halted. When I finally sorted out the bank encryption crap it was June so bit late but managed to order some seeds, in the meantime I found like 5 seeds hidden in a cupboard.
Ended up planting 11 all up only one fucking germinated and then promptly keeled over.

I gave up, no smoke since March. Totally not like being out of cigs or even beer, the transition to no weed is easy and simple.
Now I have just ordered a few auto seeds in the hope for a late dash, see how that pans out.

Worse case scenario I can always order CBD bud on amazon of all places, lol. But that is bordering on pointless, don´t need a smoke that bad.

why are these plants so small?
What I remember of those grown in full ground as a student, they should up to 8 ft in a summer!?

They are probably grown for Ilera,Cresco,Liberty or one of the Pennsylvania based Medicinal Marijuana corps.....
Obviously cbd bud.....Maybe grow late...short and sweet.....less shading....these therapuetic hemp plants rarely over 4 feet.

Dunno about you all but I sure am impressed with this!

pretty funny, I don’t even smoke the stuff, not since 2000 or so, it’s legal to grow 4 plants here, probably wind up with about 5lbs dry off them. If only I could send it back in time to my old fubar self in the good ol’ days😊.EF73B962-AAE9-4801-BBCB-389F5122603D.jpeg

Autoflower varieties based on Ukrainian wildtype genetics (Ruderalis) have a set biological clock. They flower after a growing season of just 21-45 days. This means their yield benefits from long summer days and summer temperatures, but it also limits the size of the plant.
Hard to reproduce them by cuttings, because they have a hard time reverting to a growth phase.

Regular cannabis plants flower based on daylight times. They keep growing in height until roughly september here. This means the yield is higher on total weight, but usually a poor quality because of our wet and cold autumn.

Now the most valuable part: Some vegetables do the same thing. The brassica family, like cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli, mustard and maybe even wasabi (not sure about those) suffer from the same issue. Once they bolt (start flowering) they have a hard time reverting back to growing. This makes it hard to keep them in culture, because that bolting can be caused by the medium being depleted of nutrients or a lack of moisture.
If you ever go into vegetable breeding, stay away from the brassica at all costs.

Regular cannabis plants can potentially live up to ten years. My own record is 5 years. But the degradation is very well visible, stuff just stops functioning due to telomere shortening and mitochondrial aging after 3 years. Which is not the case in brassica. The oldest cabbage plant I ever held was 17 years old, although technically it was re-cultured 85+ times.

Some dudes in the US engineered a 'always flowering' cannabis plant that is claimed to live forever, and one single seed starts at 200.000 USD.
Sometimes I think I chose the wrong profession.
