Actually supply and demand being the key factor, already being well supplied will drive the price down. Soil products are expected to be packaged to certain standards and tax applied/ collected at the border! So I get the suggestion to use small boats, unfortunately it is no secret that others use that mode of transport.
Not a new idea for sure. Do you have a source for Japanese bonsai pots? Those are in short supply. We have pumice mines and lava mines locally this side of the border.
PS: I am pretty sure the Coastal highways are under continual surveillance for small boats moving up and down the cost so you can expect visitors aboard. With commercial marine requiring AIS the task of tracking is fairly simple. Check out the app Marine Traffic to see how effective this is today!
I believe this is the result of others having thought of this distribution method for other more high value products.
Historically it has been booze, cigarettes and other life style vices. Do Bonsai pots qualify as a lifestyle vice?
If you get the pot's to the coast, I can pick them up.
