Thanks for the additional shots. That forest to me looks great, but feels a bit tall?, stretched? on the left hand side. Maybe it's because the pot is not wide enough that the proportion feels like that. But what wonderful branching and you are right, it looks far larger than it is. Such detail. Small trees with great ram, make me feel like I need to work harder...

Yes, there are a few things off about it, but that's wabi sabi. Once you have seen the imperfection and don't feel the urge to correct it, and it became beautiful, then you have found wabi sabi.
A thinner tray would make the forest look even bigger. About the only thing I would do differently come potting time. To me, this is a perfect size bonsai. Easy to carry. I love going to shows because they always inspire me to work harder too, at least for a few days.
