Can Anyone ID This Pot Maker?

Had this pot for years and don't remember where I got it. Can anyone tell me who the maker may be. Looks like the mark is "HV" but if you turn it over perhaps "AH" with no cross bar on the A.

    Hemlock Development

Thank you for asking. Attached are photos taken today. As you can see I used the hemlock to create two forest plantings. Miniature azalea to mimic rhododendrons that you will find in the hemlock forest areas of North Carolina. The rectangular pot is 21" across, tallest tree 24". Round pot...

Japanese white pine needles browning and dropping

When I see green pine needles dropping when I touch a tree I immediately think of sawfly worms. Look at the needles, if they are dropping with the sheath attached then it likely isn't sawfly, if they are dropping leaving a little stub on the branches then you have sawfly working on your trees...

Major Bending Black Pine - Part 2

Nope, It didn't make it. I did too much all at the same time. Should have taken more time between steps, like a couple of years instead of one session.

    I need willow twigs!

If all you are after is salicylic acid, why not dissolve an asprin tablet in a quart of water or some other amount of water. That would be a cheep way to get some.

    Extreme Bonsai

If you check into it you'll find that on the same day a year earlier planes were grounded because the air was to hot for them to develop needed lift. It's nothing new, simple airplane saftey precautions.

    Extreme Bonsai

Thanks for the heads up Vance. I'd welcome the target rich environment. One of my long time heros, General Chesty Puller was in the Chosin Reservor during the Korean War. Funny that, in the Corps we called it the Frozen Chosin. Anyway, when told that they were completely surrounded by the...

    Extreme Bonsai

The fact that you replied and completely understand the point of my post says it all. No one knows what the climate will bring tomorrow much less in a month or a year. Al Gore is famous for having said around 2005 that the oceans would all dry up by 2015 and now won't respond to questions...
