Is diatomaceous earth cancerous?? Please help freaking out

This is the floordry stuff many have recommended. My bonsai is indoor and I just saw comments on another site saying how industrial DE (which I'm assuming this is) is highly toxic. I am a severe asthmatic and the tree is in my livingroom, has been planted in this stuff for a couple weeks ---- is...

    Help! Wilting leaves/ bug problem

may have been a bad idea :( I did it in a desperate attempt to save it. It was very impulsive. It seems to be growing back though, I hope once I get it in proper soil it might do better

    Help! Wilting leaves/ bug problem

I'm planning to repot this immediately with some diacomtemous earth and soil. Still waiting on the earth. (It's Napa part # 8822). There's little black bugs in the soil and on the tree (scarce, but there). I've tried spraying it with insecticide to no avail. I've pruned off 95% of the...

    Can't find bonsai soil anywhere

Thanks! Do you think it would fare better if I repotted it in a potting soil/ kitty litter mix? (I've heard litter works?)

    Can't find bonsai soil anywhere

Sorry if this is a silly question. But my tree is in dire straights now. I've had it in potting soil since June. It needs to be repotted - although I don't know if it can be done in winter? - because it's dying. Is there anything I can mix up with potting soil to make a suitable mix? I don't...

    Can't find bonsai soil anywhere

I live in NS, Canada. I can't seem to find bonsai soil anywhere. Is there anything cheap I can buy and mix together myself? And if so what should I be looking for?

    Home remedies for aphids/pests?

I'm ready to give up. I have huge fears of bugs and I don't like it at all. I am sad to lose the tree but I don't know what to do? I'm a beginner. I saw one miticide recipe for dishsoap, rubbing alcohol and cooking oil, does this work?

Dried, wilting/dead leaves interspersed with healthy ones?

I repotted it in July, would it be safe to repot now in November? (It's indoor plant but I've read they should only be repotted in Spring) What would be a better soil to use?

Dried, wilting/dead leaves interspersed with healthy ones?

I live on the east coast of Canada. I had it out in the summer for a few days, but it's been inside for months now, it's strictly indoor. It could be the temperature change inside the house too... I have heat on but it's still not as warm as summer.

    I'm sure it's been asked. .

I've bought one here in Canada in June. It's still alive in November and has grown a ton since I got it.

Dried, wilting/dead leaves interspersed with healthy ones?

I repotted about a month after getting it, in July or so. I also removed all the rocks and most of the moss, and have in a general potting mix now.

Dried, wilting/dead leaves interspersed with healthy ones?

My ficus ligustrum (or nitida, not sure which) seems to be growing plenty, with healthy vibrant leaves but over the past few weeks it's been dropping leaves, some of which are coming off of healthy branches. There are these dead leaves falling and they seem to be randomly placed among healthy...

What type of soil for a privet?

Hello, what type of soil should I use for a privet? (Pic below). I bought it from Wal mart, looks like it just has general potting soil. But I'd like to get something better for it if possible - just not sure what to look for. Thanks in advance! WIN_20150627_185152 by Emily345 posted Jun 27...

Can somebody tell me what type of tree this is?

Thank you! And, most of the time yes. It said to give it bright light all day. Should it be by the window all the time?

Can somebody tell me what type of tree this is?

I'm a complete newbie, and got this tree from Wal Mart (I know, not the best choice) a couple weeks ago. On the tag it just has the following instructions: -Water when first inch of soil is dry -Feed all-purpose plant food every 2 weeks, and trim. It doesn't say anything about what type it is...
