Thanks Peter, I think it's one of my favorite combos right now.I think this Deshojo will be a killer with red & green leaves as a combo with this pot. Mighty trunk. Very nice choice and work.
You will see soon!!!What do you have planned for that massive crabapple?
Nope it's a KOYO. The first really nice pot I purchased.Really nice trees, Judy. I especially like the pot pairing with the cork bark elm. Did you have it made for the tree?
Got a bigger carving tool, should be fun. Later this week! Your deshojo looks really nice I think, the blank branches all have buds on them, they are just slower than the rest.Beautiful collection Juds and some really great and beautiful pairings!! Can't wait to see what ya do with the big crabs!
Nope it's our other one...Is that the Avatar pup?

This...What do you have planned for that massive crabapple?
You may be surprised though. After such a hard pruning you get buds popping on them two little trunks and may be quite useful.Grow some thick leaders and have a grove of crabappleThis...
Of course this is after just the first go round with a chain saw. Carving with more detailed tools comes next. I think the tree may be better without the left trunk altogether, but I'll wait and see. The right trunk will go shorter, just waiting for a bud to pop first.
