Are your landscape JMs still full of seeds?

I was wondering when mature (seed-bearing) Japanese maples lose their seeds.
Helps in deciding when to buy large JMs, if you want the seeds too.
Have they lost most of their seeds by now, in your area?

Also curious how deep a freeze kills exposed, dormant JM seeds.

I've seen a couple in gardens that are still having their helicopters, and a couple of leaves.

The one I know of in my area lost most of it's seeds by the first part of November. I gathered what I could find that were remaining.

There’s a few JM here in the Charlotte area that are still holding their samaras.

Mine are not... because I cut the seeds off and have them cold stratifying in the fridge

I watched a mrmaple video on seed sowing and they collected on August 1st, so now I wonder how early theyre ripe here. If theyre sown very early they will sprout the same year? Read that on here I think

It will depend if the seed is allowed to dry or not.
