Hi all!

Just wanted to send some pics of a buttonwood I found. Styling suggestions/virts always welcome! The tree is budding everywhere, I’m really excited to see where it goes.

I think you have done all that you can at this point. Let it grow out a year or better two years and the bonsai within will start to reveal itself. Don't overthink it now.

Heres an update on some of the new growth. It’s growing extremely fast, some branches are already about a centimeter thick.

I have a BW that was collected in 2019. It was left to grow with some light pruning until 2021. In 21 it was fully defoliated, styled, and repoted with good success.

If I had your tree, I would follow the same process.

BTW, I'm on the line between 9b and 10a in FL.
