nontraditional and postmodern bonsai

Ok boys and gals, now it's time to play my favorite game: Use someone's own words against them to expose the hypocrite/idiot/troll they are, brought to you today by "The Internet"

First, lets start off with an easy one:

i know my social IQ is about on par with that of a brain damaged baboon.
i know i'm absentminded to the point of disability - more than once i've driven to work due to rain and then walked home, forgetting my car.

Ok, that one was way too easy, let's try another association...

i know my social IQ is about on par with that of a brain damaged baboon.
i rather liked prison - i got to play DnD on the weekends,PRISON RESTORED MY FAITH IN HUMANITY.

Now how about a contradiction (*hint, hint - usually nerds [i.e. those with smarts] play DnD)...

i got to play DnD on the weekends
i know my social IQ is about on par with that of a brain damaged baboon.

Ok, ok, now let's try a three-parter...

you equate the use of Proper English with... ...intelligence
i know my social IQ is about on par with that of a brain damaged baboon.
my use of language? so what? when i wish to, i can use perfect standard english, bland TV anchorman nonaccent, impeccable grammar, staggering vocabulary. i've never had anything but a 4.0/A+ in english because it's *easy*.

Hope you enjoyed this little game, so let's end on a couple clarifications:

i know my social IQ is about on par with that of a brain damaged baboon.

I'll give you a hand here tantric... the term you're looking for is "EQ" or emotional quotient (not "social IQ") as opposed to "IQ" or intelligence quotient.

i don't submit to god, being an atheist

The wording of your statement supports the supposition that there is a "god" existing and you choose not to submit to him... If you were an atheist you simply would not "believe" in god therefor extinguishing the notion of his existence in the first place. As an atheist myself I implore you to stop this nonsense before you drag our collective names through the mud with you "holier than thou" (ironic?) attitude... Or better yet, go crawl under a rock, cease your biological functions, decompose back into base chemical components and become fertilizer for some wild tree that will grow to be more beautiful and serve a higher purpose than you are exhibiting at this moment.

Let me make an assertion sir tantric, you are not an athiest, but a member of a sub-species known as
Homo internetallus forumus trollus I've included a diagram for the rest of the forum to learn from:82623100.jpg

Peace out! I'm done with this fool...

I believe it comes from the movie The Matrix:

Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.
Yes it was a joke. Just quoting random bull crap.

They all look alike!

These trees laugh at the creative trees because they are different.

Alas, I've been told that lat tree -- one of my absolute favorites -- is dead.

FWIW, Harry Hirao's "Oh My God" Tree at the national arboretum is most definitely NOT dead. It had a very very hard time for a number of years, but it was nursed back to health a couple of years ago. I saw Harry work on it at the last PBA show in 2014. It was repotted into a Ron Lang pot.

I disagree I have seen bonsai artists on this forum. Lots of them. Walter Pall comes to mind right away

There is also a book called gay men draw vaginas- is it art? Not to me but whatever. The point is there is a lot of crap out there called art.
This is a real book I'm not making this up.
Ok had to Google that one

That tree reminds me of the leg lamp from A Christmas Story.

Not too fond am I.

FWIW, that tree is a completely "Natural" bonsai. Harry Hirao found it that way. It has had very little done to it over the years. He said he walked up on it on a mountainside one day and didn't see any way he could really improve it, other than to collect it and make it available for people to see. A number of curators at the arb have called it "oh my God" tree as that is what people say when they realize what they're looking at, a natural piece of sculpture. Like it or not, at least it's an honest expression of natural design.

GOOD news!

One of my non-traditional trees won Best of Division for a miniature tree division in the garden & floral competition at our local county fair last week. The tree itself was not as good as several of the other trees that were entered; if I had displayed it in a traditional way, it certainly wouldn't have earned any ribbon, much less the Best of Division ribbon.

I miss tantric already. Sure put the wind up a few of your skirts.Stop pretending that he lacks intelligence or the ability to write all of you under the table!Something might have come out of this thread, had the regulars found the taste to try some lip zip.
