I found a (hopefully) living Christmas tree abandoned on the street the other day.

It was a Serbian spruce (picea omorika), originally sold for just £10 in a local supermarket.

Inspired by Corin at Greenwood Bonsai, I decided prune it, wire the primary branches and pot it up.

I know the wire is probably a bit thick for some of the branches. And my technique is probably not great because it's the first tree I've wired. But I think it's a good start.

The curvy branches at the top will probably be jinned at a later date.

Let me know if you have any thoughts or tips for its development!

Just my opinion, but I think you already have a touch of jin at the top. Maybe jin a lower branch and keep the two topmost branches as the new "tip". Otherwise, I like where it's headed. Congrats! I love free trees!
