Noticed a dead candle on my young JBP Gyokoho. When I cut it off it crumbled and had a hole down the middle. Pine shoot moth pupa I assume.

Hard to tell... the could be nymphs of leaf-footed bug, which are pests, or assassin bug, which eat other bugs. Can't tell for sure.

Funny how they're either beneficial or harmful, but they look the same!
