To the place of my birth...

Y’know? The Bald Cypress are SUPER neat and all, deserving of respect.

But I was honestly.. MORE impressed with the Live Oaks of the area..

And WAY more fascinated with the liquidambers.

Uhhhg! Safe and sound!

Got caught in the rain last night... I am “night blind”.. but normally I can drive alright, but not in the downpour... stayed in Dwight.. had NO service until wisconsin... EXHAUSTED.. need sleep. Will update more “perkily” later.

🤓 It’s good to be home... Wisconsin is really pretty.

Also...

There are two things, pertaining to my grueling 4-day drive back, that I will never do again...

ONE... trust my GPS “fastest route”

TWO.... enter 20 mph-rated “not for truck” roads through West Virginia..while hauling a trailer

Those two “things” are related to the same “misshap”

🤣🤣🤣🤓

Roads were called “Sugarland hills(or something similar)” and “Holly Meadows”...
Very Looney Tunes.

I’ll bet the sheer terror and anxiety of driving these roads, depreciated the beauty. 🤣
Nah, that's half the beauty of them, right? Or maybe I've just spent too much time in the hills?

For some reason I wasn't getting notifications from this thread, so I finally went looking for it again.

Keep sharing your adventures!

Here I thought the WV state highways were crazy through the mountains... then.. those 20 mph (I, personally drove slower) “no-truck” roads come into play..

Makes you “grow-up” driving-wise, REAL quick.
