It came root-wrapped; I potted it.

I been eyeballing one of those as well..... tho elms are a lot of work :p

They really are incredible specimen trees. I don't think the pictures on Brent's website do them justice (no offense to Brent's photography skills). They might be a lot of work, but these are one of a kind trees that you won't find elsewhere in this country.

Yep, shimpaku; it has a neat history and I'll start a thread at some point, maybe Brent will contribute (hint hint).
And I think he has lots of goodies that aren't on his website...all you have to do is ask. ;)

I have been tempted often to ask. Especially when his site reads. "SPECIMEN PLANTS AVAILABLE EVENTUALLY"
Thanks for sharing, that thing is monstrous. That or that youngster is on the small side.
