With the holidays approaching I thought I'd start a "wish list" thread. Post your gift suggestions for a bonsai enthusiast here.

BUY:

1) A nice tree for someone :)

2) Nice tools - from basic tool sets to grafting knives, jin carving tools, wet sharpening stones, etc

3) A nice stainless steel metal styling turntable

4) Nice bonsai books (expecially John Naka's set, or some of the work books done by styling masters)

5) Styling videos

6) Bonsai calendar(s)

7) An airplane ticket to Japan :) for a shopping trip!

1. A nice watering can

2. A nice pot

3. Display stand

4. For the bonsai girlfriend/boyfriend you want to break up with: 5lbs of akadama soil :D

1. Rosewood display stand.
2. Bamboo display stand.
3. Nice rosewood or other lovely wood box to keep tools clean and safe in.
4. Figures/bridges/animals etc for making a little landscape.
5. A nice suiseke. I've seen some for about £60 on eBay!

(I hope my mum looks over my shoulder and gets some ideas :D)

Wow this is an old thread! I've since come up with some other suggestions!

(1) Titanium chopsticks. Now that I've used them I can't live without them.

(2) A subscription to Bonsai Mirai streaming content.

(3) Biogold fertilizer (about the most expensive thing on this list!)

(4) A leather tool roll for storing your tools (I've had the same one for almost 25 years now).

(5) A nice bonsai apron - particularly helpful when repotting.

If someone already has everything then buy him nothing. He'll then have both everything and nothing :)

Maybe buy him/her something non bonsai related?

Or some nice display items yeah. Pots are welcome too! Same with more plants and more bonsai time!

A six pack of Guiness Stout.

Oh man, if someone bought me a bonsai watering can...

@VAFisher it's a labor of love when 98% of your trees are in the grow out bed
