i have been biten by the bonsai bug last year and this is the results

That honeysuckle is the BOMB! I need a shovel...collected pieces "if" one has an eye and the right hunting grounds...ads much character to ones bench! Nice...thanks for sharing!

@Cadillactaste thank you for the kind words... i really love honeysuckle they are for me bulletproof! their wood is very hard... suitable for bonsai...for making deadwoods, which ads alot of character to the tree. its makes live vein as well and grow fast.. it is for me the hardier equivalent of wild olives in the mediterraneans... i recently collected another lonicera with very little roots and i had little hopes for it since it was a very old tree but lo and behold it is pushing out new grow... i will post a pic of the tree... but the new growth is not visible yet.... enjoy
