Japanese Maple #8

@Walter Pall
Walter, thank you for posting. All commentary aside your tree is beautiful and speaks for itself. In fact I think it sings when in the yellow or the blue pot. Stunning.

At the end of the day.... It is between you and the trees in your back yard... Stop the madness and focus on your trees.

hello Walter, the stone direction is towards the left ? and the tree's direction is also towards the left ? I ask this because on the previous flat pot, i had the impression that your tree was going to the right. I prefered the previous flat pot to be honest because your JM is very elegant and feminine (like the previous pot) and the new stone looks masculine and heavy IMO

Such beautiful balance. I'm not sure I like it on the slab... but the slab certainly brings a lot more energy to it!

As with all radical innovations in the field of art and fashion the majority first reacts in a negative way. It is human nature to try to keep what you are used to. It takes some time for folks to get used to a new view. Often after a a few months or years an innovation like this may become fine with the majority and after a longer while may even become mainstream. Or the radical innovation is discarded soon after it's inception and goes to the forgotten attempts to innovate. We will see how this innovation will do. Let this sink in and find this thread after three yeas and see how the taste has changed. Maybe you like it then - or hate it even more.
Good news: I can place it into the good red pot even after five years again and no-one will notice. This just for the possibility that I will also not like it then.
