Still needs some more thinning, downward growth here and there.....took quite a bit off so I'll wait to see the reaction. Reducing the apex in width and height will be the next step.....

Are you going to wire that bad boy up? Nice tree

It's pretty small and honestly, my detail wiring is a weakness. I've yet to create an apex I was happy with on any tree. Broad but heavy, thin but pointy, that sort of thing.🤔

I would like to get it smaller, so that should exacerbate my problem!!!!! 😁 😁 😁 😁

Trying to cox some crotch growth to cut back to. Maybe do some dead wood work on the heavier branches and re-carve the previous deadwood that is overgrown.

I like the new pot. Looks down to Earth, earthy with some tooth to it.

From 2017 is there any interior growth on this branch now?

Most likely. Pretty woody, I would have pruned it back to replace with interior growth. Not much "woody" growth above first three branches.

Well it's certainly robust!
Define a couple of pads, and see if there's interior growth on that one.
It looks like an important branch. I know Kishu is always at the ready to throw juvenile
but don't lose interior growth or a branch to the paranoia.
