Nope, no pegs coming out of the ground perfectly vertical (i.e., theta should not equal pi/2).
It is as easy as pi (which is a semi-/cascade maybe 🤓)
At least some input... but my system fails encrypting your data to bonsai (semi cascade interesting 😊)
My interface has calculated you owe a pic 😘

I owe a pic now

SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm officially an old fart (which means being as absent minded/inattentive as @Vance Wood --> he may feel insulted to have me in the same bucket as he, but life is what it is ).

However, this is real trouble for me because I don't have anything that is a legit shohin. This is as close as I can get, an a.p. Orange Dream.

... damn you, @defra !!! 😬🙄

Worked the wiring on this again, better now but not by much.

You need to put dimensional bends into your branches, your technique looks good as far as the actual wiring. But needs to be up/down, forward and back to good bending. Sometimes I put entire full twists on a branch if it's pliable enough.

Procumbens nana in a Chuck Iker pot. This is after a haircut and a little bit of wire from a couple weeks ago. I had been avoiding working on this tree because it makes me itch for hours after working with it. Need to get some gloves. Should have taken a before pic - it was a big bush.

This one would qualify for a mame thread, but I guess that makes it shohin too. This is a cutting from my Chinzan azalea that was rooted 3 years ago I think. It's always been in a tiny pot so development has been slow. But I've got time. Bokeno pot.
