Good example of what’s possible with some future vision and applying the correct techniques.
My very first Japanese maple was purchased in February 2020. I was 7 months into my bonsai journey and didn’t know much.
Fast forward 5 years and I have 2 decent shohin projects from the original tree.

This one looks similar to a ln elm ROR I’ve got. Planted in an oversized pot.
